Dr. Cheryl Smith, PhD is an Associate Professor of English Literature and Assistant Dean at Baruch College, CUNY. She is a firm believer in and advocate for public education as our shared right and responsibility. She served on the Eastchester Board of Education for three terms in a variety of leadership capacities; including, Board President.
Cheryl has lived in Eastchester for 13 years with her husband Andres and their 13 year old son.
Dr. Smith is a major advocate for our schools and our students. She serves as a member of SEPTA. As a long standing and current academician, she is dedicated to making sure our curriculum is innovative and prepares our students to be fulfilled, empowered, and ready to contribute to our economy and society as a whole.
